Top wind and time change with plain outer case over a signed white enamel dial with black Roman hours and blued steel hands with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c.Signed Swiss 15 jewel jewelled lever calibre 31 movement numbered 28538 with overcoil hairspring and split bi-metallic balance.
Case Diameter - 50mm.
Thomas Russell was listed as a watch and chronometer maker in the local trade directory in 1848. Shortly after that in 1860 he joined partnership with Alfred Holgate and renamed the company Thomas Russell & Son.
