American Waltham Watch Co., full hunter presentation pocket watch in a 9ct gold Dennison case numbered 74548 and hallmarked for Birmingham c1915. Top wind and time change with a plain outer case over a white enamel dial with black Arabic hours and blued steel hands with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. American P.S. Bartlett grade adjusted 17 jewel jewelled lever movement with split bi-metallic balance and overcoil hairspring with micro-adjuster and numbered 24920049. The inner case cover recording a 1954 retirement presentation to Ernest Hornby celebrating 50 years service.

Case Diameter - 49mm.

The Waltham watch company was founded by Aaron Lufkin Dennison in 1849 in Roxbury Massachusetts. In 1854 they moved to Waltham Massachusetts and the Waltham watch company was born.
