Early C20th American A.W.W Co. Waltham half hunter pocket watch in a Dennison gold plated case with top wind and time change. External blue Roman chapter ring on the outer case, internal white enamel dial with black Roman hours and gilt hands with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. Signed American 15 jewel jewelled lever escapement with overcoil hairspring and split bi-metallic balance with a micro adjuster, the movement numbered 16983845 and case numbered 724630.
Case diameter 51mm.
The Waltham watch company was founded by Aaron Lufkin Dennison in 1849 in Roxbury Massachusetts. In 1854 they moved to Waltham Massachusetts and the Waltham watch company was born.
