French gilt brass and glass 8 day, carriage clock circa 1890, striking the hours and half hours on a gong. Ornate styled handle and pediment corniche style casework with gilded brass throughout, glass chamfered panels and visible silvered platform, bi-metallic lever escapement. Masked white enamelled dial with black arabic hours and blued steel hands over a central gilt disc. The internal clock plates are stamped with a circled 'HB' maker's mark and numbered '141', the escapement is numbered '67433'.
