French brass and glass, 8 day carriage clock with bell striking 'alarum'. Maker unknown, but back plate and internal numbering #1116, and with the apparently original cylinder escapement platform. Obis style handle with corniche style casework with brass showing some of the original gilding, together with glass chamfered panels. The white enamel dial plate displays roman hour markers and an outer arabic minutes ring (in the Jacot style), together with blued steel, moon hands. The subsidiary alarum dial displays below the 6 o'clock position. 
 
The clock is in good overall condition, with the exception of the front door glass, which has a minor loss to the lower right corner, and slight peripheral cracking to the lower left of the enamel dial.
